![]() ![]() Appended PlugY to the folder name, changed the short-cut to reflect this change and that's when the problems started. From all the reading I'd done I figured I'd start by renaming the original install folder. Try going on the realms and it automatically tries to update to 1.13 so I figure I need a second installation of LOD. 'Installed' PlugY and fired it up, everything working fine so far. So I installed DII and upgraded to LOD and then installed the 1.12 patch. so I thought I would start with some basic experimentation to see what would happen. ![]() I've read a lot of people talking about hex editors, fast-using switching, changing folders, uninstalling and re-installing and moving folders. One shortcut launches LOD 1.12 with the PlugY mod and another shortcut launches LOD 1.13 so I can play on the realms. I also had a few more requirements such as both available on the same machine without having to switch users. ![]() I was in the exact same boat as you: I wanted LOD patched to 1.12 for compatibility with PlugY for single player offline (testing drop rates, builds, etc) and another copy of LOD patched to 1.13 so I could play online. If you have any questions or problems just ask. ![]() Then switch over and log on with the other character. So you will have to load one character up into a game. You can have two characters from the same account in a game at once but not in chat at the same time. Once that game is loaded minimize it then click on the indivisble icon to start up the second copy. Then to start up both copies just click on the first shortcut you created. The "Game" icon will be right below the "Diablo II" icon but it will not have a picture just a name. Then create a shortcut from the "Game" icon in the second folder. Then create a shortcut from the "Diablo II" icon in the first folder. Then replace the old d2gfx.dll file in both d2 folders with the new one. Then log both versions onto bnet to update the patches. You will have to rename the first d2 folder before you can install a second copy on your pc. You will need different cd keys for each so 4 total keys in all. There is the d2gfx.dll that is needed to run two copies. ![]()
